If you were still getting your socks rocked off by Metal Gear Revengence Rising, then you might have thought that gaming just couldn’t get any better.  Then comes Sony and their presentation of the PS4!  I guess the fall of E3 is complete as Nintendo and Sony have now opted to just do their own thing.  For the best, I think.  I was honored to get a personalized invitation to the Livestream.  I giddily set my iPhone to go off so as not to miss it… I missed it.   But I watched it later and was very much impressed with what they had to show.

Initially, I thought to myself, “what else can they really do?”  I mean, graphics are already through the rough on all the next gen consoles.  We even have 3D now.  I guess the only thing that is left is to have cutscene-like gameplay. That we have yet to see and by the looks of the previews, we’re not quite there yet but alas… we’re getting close.

<br /><a href=”http://www.ustream.tv/&#8221; style=”padding: 2px 0px 4px; width: 400px; background: #ffffff; display: block; color: #000000; font-weight: normal; font-size: 10px; text-decoration: underline; text-align: center;” target=”_blank”>Live broadcast by Ustream</a>

Ubisoft might have had the most impressive showing with Watchdogs.  It looks like a cross between Infamous and Deus Ex which is an awesome mix.  The gameplay looked superb and the premise of fighting crime by using your cellphone as an all encompassing, cyber weapon was very cool.  Its kind of like Person of Interest as well.  I’m excited about it.  I won’t get into everything else, because I linked the Livestream and you can check it out for yourself (you need some suspense in this spoiler world).

Sony left out the small matter of price but do you really have to ask?  You should plan on paying about $600 bucks for this easy.  Dotunuki predicts a price of $599.99 so start saving now.  Oh, it will be worth it, Sony isn’t in the business of cheating you, they are quality plus online gameplay is free and I think it will stay that way, thus justifying the price point.  I predict that the Dualshock 4 will run you about $89.99.  May I be over on both predictions but as it stands, I’m going to start saving now.

Release date is tagged as 2013.  When they said that, I figured: December 28th, lol.  Saying you’re releasing in within the year, is like pricing something $599.  It’s $600 bucks, just say it’s $600 bucks.  So yeah, its basically coming out in 2014 and as demand tends to go, many of you probably won’t be able to get your hands on one till 2014.

NICT in Japan has developed software that visualizes a cyber attack.  And it looks very reminiscent of the interface that the agents of Section 9 use to communicate via their ebrains.  This is very cool.

Ah, man.  This game actually means a lot to Dotunuki.  I actually travelled to this place and fought these demons, died and fought as a spirit, fought as a living being.  It is quite sad to see it all come to an end.  But alas there is a sequel.  Here is a letter from Atlus to the faithful.  Read it with a dry hanky.

Someone asked me who was the most Hip Hop, I said, “Snoop Dogg”  Being from Los Angeles, nobody keeps it more LA B-Boy than Snoop and you know LA B-Boy is kinda gangsta, cause that gang life is just part of living in Los Angeles.   But anyway, Snoop has always been an innovative dude.  He had a show on MTV that was actually pretty funny and I don’t think any other Hip Hop artist has done all the things that Snoop has done consistently well.  He remains relevant and can still drop a dope album.  Now he’s come up with something really cool.  I love Utilitarian stuff and this is the ultimate:

Nothing Sounds

Like the Trumpet

some look down on the Trumpet

Pourquoi, it is Loud

And in certain hands

It is a Saucy thing

Trumpets blow up the spot like no other instrument

The Trumpet is a natural leader, Its sound cuts to the front

Peels back your eye lids and draws your sightline

Across the fine divide of Shocked and Amazed

But if you try and mute the Trumpet, then you’ve made quite a blunder

For the sound that follows will take you right under

Pourquoi, before that, you’ve never heard such a sound

And what you didn’t know was lost, is abruptly found

And now that you’ve heard it, you cannot put it down.

If it’s gonna be trumpets to sound the birth, Let Louis Armstrong play the song

And once his part is done, Let Miles Davis trumpet us to Elysium

This is a segment of a very interesting entry from Kotev’s blog, you should check it out.

FIGURES OF FLIGHT OR ISSUE OF FIRST CONTACT

On November 17, 1974 using one of the most powerful at that time radio telescopes - one inAresibo (Puerto Rico-) was broadcast in the space-image signal into binary code, whichsymbolized the human occupation of its land and its DNA. The response of the telescope, located in the crater of an extinct volcano was broadcast in the international program SETI(Search for extraterrestrial intelligence) – SETI (Search of Entra-Terrestral Intellect). In one part of the message itself was depicted radiotelescope emitting the signal. In another - shows the construction of the solar system and planets around the sun lying Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Plutonium. Mankind was indicated by a human figure, fromleft and right it shows the spirals of DNA chains that are on our genotype. She also includedand summarized information on the chemical composition of the atmosphere of planet Earth, information about the decimal system of calculation, at the base of maematikata of humanity.

And now, nearly thirty years later, in April 2001, near Chimbolton (southern England) one ofsown cereal fields near a British radio telescopes, appeared two drawings. Unlike otherdesigns (there are over 10,000 worldwide), they were not round or oval and had a rectangular shape. In one of them observed manlike image and the other had a pretty clear pictogram with different information.

When scientists analyzed them ufologists, they could not restrain his wonder and excitement.Receiving pictogram emitted by the radio in Aresibo been confirmed and returned with some characteristic distinctions, indicating the presence of another form of life differs from ours. It became clear that the sender of the answer lies within the solar system, not outside it.

The illusion of artificial worlds

From the time when the British mathematician Charles Babbage in the first half of the nineteenth century created the first prototypes of the modern analytic computing machines and Countess Ada Lovelace wrote the first program for them on an electronic language, later called “Hell”, passed many decades. But even now, in the first decade of the nineteenth century, when it continues to spread worldwide Internet, no one admits how strong a person can enter into the depths of non-existent in the physical world, spaces and events.

Today when we talk at all about the Internet, we can assume that in its pure form it is primarily a “warehouse” for storing and transmitting information to which everyone has access yuzer (user). So far so good, but with a little note – it is still difficult to be called the virtual world as the Internet does not seek to carry in their womb still nebezdanna our existence.

Unlike this situation, some individual special forces are trying to do this and mostly it refers to MMORPG.

MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role-playing game) is called. multiuser online role playing game, ie type of online game in which you can participate millions of people. She has modeled three-dimensional virtual space in which it is possible the realization of free movement in all planes, in fact it is a complete virtual world, which operate the principles of competition between participants in solving logic problems, participation in combat operations or economic transactions, etc., while outside because their diversity and unlimited opportunities for certain people can serve as an alternative to reality. MMORPG can be free or paid, but in any case there exists a turnover of real cash, often acquiring fantastic proportions. The largest representatives of mnogopolzvanite games remain Anarchy Online, Everquest II, Guild Wars, Lineage II, Project Entropia, Ragnarok Online, Ultima Online, World of Warcraft and others. In the social network Facebook also appeared similar virtual worlds – in games Farmville and Mafia Wars. For the first say that even two adults died grown vegetables virtual virtual farm …

While these games are not yet a true virtual world in which so to speak Participant “sinks” they actively engage people, especially those 40 years of age. Here in this non-existent real world become real battles and turn large amounts of money. It should be noted that cyberspace does not necessarily take the form of the game. It may be a virtual world, having typical dimensions of our lives dimensional. ”Golden” age of these worlds began soon after the onset of the project world Second Life, which lacks the typical MMORPG storyline.

The success of a virtual space lies in the fact that it establishes an analogue of everyday life, with all its concomitant details. There are three-dimensional real shops, casinos, entertainment complexes, and players can build their home or to open their own business. All this would be just a game, if it does not “scrolling” real money and not really doing big business. Global companies in the virtual world open their offices and even shops where you can purchase goods. But these are not typical internet-shops and truly three-dimensional space, and everything else that lies in them, imitate reality.
