This is more about life off the grid than anything.  Being able to get your merchandise from a box and a smartphone as opposed to a retail outlet should be a windfall for Amazon and a blessing for people moving from place to place in this world.

The shopping never stops now, with the proliferation of these boxes just about any retail item will be accessible to you.  I wonder how thorough the experience will be.  For instance, Dotunuki is presently in Paris and being one of those who deals with very dry skin, getting Aveeno lotion for me is very important (like, it’s the only thing that works.  It’s Aveeno or sufferation).

Now I can find it if I look REALLY hard but I’m able to order it on Amazon, no sweat.  That would be awesome if I could pick it up from a box after security at the airport has robbed me of all my vital toiletries!  Supposing I’m staying in a hotel or hostel or even with a friend.

I wonder if delivery to the boxes will be somehow prioritized and arrive all the faster.  Maybe it will be an incentivized system where they guarantee your items arrive faster if you use the box.  Amazon wants all the dough!  Screw delivery services, lol.

Amazon set to unlock delivery lockers at U.K. retailers too – GeekWire.

I wish to slough away my dead skin

For it is jagged and barbed and will wound

For it daily wounds me

And when it is gone, Scars I will bear

Hard memories will spear through my head

Now unbalanced and heavy, my head falls

But you give of your breast and stroke my locks and rub my chest

Our hearts in relative motion

We can feel the Earth spin

and we look on

From another time and remark

IT IS, AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

Oh, deer. It's father/daughter bonding time for Abigail Hobbs, whom we see in a flashback with her father, killing and harvesting a deer for its edibles. “We honour the beast by eating her,” says daddy dearest, “otherwise it's just murder.” It's a sentiment and philosophy which will no doubt echo throughout this first series, certainly more so […]

With its grand traditions extending into the annals of cinematic history, the portmanteau horror film is going through something of a resurgence of late. From the found footage frights of V/H/S through to the comedy kitsch of ABCs of Death, it's nice to see this old format alive and well. It's a tricky one to get right, but when it's good, it […]
