Posts Tagged ‘superbowl halftime show’

Madonna’s imagery is owning Dotunuki lately.  Ever since the 2012 Superbowl halftime performance, everytime I see her now, she’s doing something ill.  I saw this picture and though my Francais is bad, I had to post.  So this is about what Dotunuki thinks the article is talking about :)

Lady Gaga is not the next Madonna.  Madonna is still Madonna and she’s gonna rock her bombadier bra until she’s doing deep knee bends with a walker.  (And she’ll probably still be the hotness)

Madonna is one of the last women standing from the Pop Icons of the 20th Century and as we saw with Michael Jackson before he passed and Janet Jackson when she’s in form, the 20th Century pop icons have scarcely passed their prime.  They can still electrify a crowd of loyal fans and the uninitiated.

Don’t try and sweep Madonna out of the door, all those years of performing and making hits is a wealth of knowledge THAT IS TRULY RARE ON THIS PLANET.  She’s on top for a reason, it wasn’t just fate or people liked her face or she’s sexy or– anything.  She’s a tremendous talent, hardworking and innovative artist.  People have been talking about Madonna from day one and she’s done it all, like all the greats.  Even her missteps are watchable not to mention memorable.

Lady Gaga is awesome too.  Dotunuki really likes her style.  She’s got her own thing going and she’s blowing up too.  And I know, she doesn’t want to be considered the next Madonna, that ain’t her style.  She didn’t work her ass off to be considered the next anyone.

But if we’re talking about someone wearing a crown?  It’s Madonna.

Madonna, Lady Gaga: le duel pour la couronne de reine de la pop.

That's the Middle Finger!

Uh, I’m in Paris so I missed the Superbowl but I did not miss the fallout as everybody and their mother seems to be coming out against Madonna.  I watched the halftime show and that shit was cool.  The Anubis love was ill, especially with vogue going, (granted I appreciate it more as I’m older) And Madonna is fucking hot.  Fuck all that noise, I’ve seen the naked body of a hot 52 year old woman and it is superb, especially when its in the kinda shape Madonna has it in?  Come on.

But I’ll tell you what the biggest problem is (and tell Deadorooney if he’s wrong) WORLD PEACE.  This is the second occasion WORLD PEACE has been bashed.  The first was when Ron ARtest changed his name to Metta WORLD PEACE.  And people don’t wanna even form their lips to say it, much less except it (America, I’m talking to you!).  Now back to Madonna.  What do they wanna talk about?  How she’s Satanic and the devil and all kinds of nasty, stupid shit.  (Well, that was just one article, I love you i09) but the rest is, look at her cooch, look at her dancing, shit looked like always but all the sudden there is something wrong.  Why?  WORLD PEACE, that’s why.  How about, let’s talk about WORLD PEACE!  When people see WORLD PEACE they lose it.  It doesn’t matter who says it.

Always looking for the fucking devil.  You better watch out cause you might find him.  The devil is not Anubis.  Death is not the devil.  Death is a natural progression in the cycle of life.  As someone posted in the comments of i09, “the death gods are the hardest working ones in the pantheon, give em’ some respect.”  Have a happy Dia De Las Muertes!
